Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to traditional, old boleros as well as traditional romantic, ranchero, and ballads of romance. Ana likes tangos as much as opera, and various other dramatic styles. She was taught by her mother to sing, but she began an intensive training in vocals by Flavio Belcerra at 16 when his name was known as a famous Mexican opera Tenor. She continued her musical studies at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards with the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was part of numerous opera choirs as well as chamber ensembles. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She performs current classic Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. Being a teacher and a musician Ana is a dedicated participant in various community-based projects because of her love and love for music. Ana is also a previous singer in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with the sharing of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly for the young generation to keep this tradition vibrant.
